Serving - Taking A Step In
We have all played in those gyms that have minimal space behind the back line for serving.
You are allowed one-step into the court during your serve. However, you still must start your serve motion behind the line.
You cannot start your serve inside of the court. If you have concerns about another player starting their serve within the court, please mention it to the team playing and be respectful while doing so.
And teammates, be helpful to your server and honest to the other teams.

On behalf of the Grande Prairie Ladies Volleyball League, we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. We hope you have the opportunity to meet with family and friends over the break and be able to partake in the season's festivities. The league will re-commence play the week of January 8th. The schedule for the remainder of the 2023-24 season will come out after Christmas, as we too are taking in this time of year to be with our loved ones. See you all in 2024!
Due to ongoing issues the board has decided to impose fines for various infractions within the league.
